Water is then poured over the kava, soaking it thoroughly. The soaked kava powder is then squeezed into the bag and strained into the bowl.

  3. Add four parts of warm water inside the strainer bag with the kava powder.
  4. Allow the mixture to stay in the bowl for some minutes (this is to ensure all kava fibers are softened)
  5. Twist the top of the strainer bag, squeeze, and knead the kava mix for 8 minutes, ensuring that all the air and water inside the strainer bag has been squeezed out
  6. Filter the kava mix you squeezed out from the bowl.
  7. Viola! You now have a perfect traditional kava drink.
